INTENSE Group at the 26th International Scientific Conference "Restructuring Management. Enterprise and Economy in the Face of Crises" - Krynica 2023

Enterprise and Economy in the Face of Crises", which will be held on October 25-27, 2023 in picturesque Krynica Zdrój. The event is organized by the Cracow University of Economics

BUSINESS CLOSE TO SCIENCE AND SCIENCE CLOSE TO BUSINESS

This year's edition of the conference "Restructuring Management. Enterprise and Economy in the Face of Crises" will focus on the analysis of economic turmoil, such as the global crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, or the crisis related to the war in Ukraine. Both of these events had tremendous effects in the economic, political and social spheres.

DIGITIZATION AND AUTOMATION A REMEDY FOR THE CRISIS

From the point of view of businesses, a wise response to any economic turbulence may be to increase efficiency and flexibility through, among other things, digitization of processes. The above topic will be explored in depth in our presentation, titled. "Increasing efficiency, agility and competitiveness of SMEs through digitization and automation using low-code/no-code tools".

Our talk will be part of a panel of practitioners entitled. "Pragmatics of restructuring - digitization and automation processes in SME operations". During the speech, we will present the results of the INTENSE Group project research: "INTELLIGENT INTENSE BPMS PLATFORM: an innovative platform for generating BPMS mobile applications without programmers".

The research was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under:

- Measure 1.2. Research and innovation in enterprises, Priority Axis 3 Knowledge economy of the REGIONAL OPERATIONAL PROGRAM OF THE MAŁOPOLSKIE VOIVODSHIP 2014-2020.

The project presents the steps we have taken toward digitization and automation in the increasingly popular area of mobile applications. The low-code/no-code system we will present has been developed precisely in response to the need for high flexibility.

SMES HAVE A CHANCE TO INCREASE COMPETITIVENESS

With this highly malleable model of application supporting the management and automation of enterprise processes, risks can often be transformed into opportunities, or the effects of risk materialization can be reduced. The low-code/no-code platform allows business applications to be built without the involvement of programmers, which means that the financial barrier to entry has been significantly lowered and not only large organizations can afford such an investment anymore.
